Why Pay More For Expensive and
Time-Consuming Laboratory Drug Screening?
While laboratory drug screens are expensive and may take
up to a week to generate results, the iCup Drug Screen provides business
and industry, schools, criminal justice and corrections, occupational
health, rehabilitation, reference laboratories, hospitals, and physicians
with immediate results. The iCup Drug Screen is priced well below laboratory
screening which costs as much as $45.
Federal Compliance:
The iCup Drug Screen complies with federal drug screening directives at
the specifically mandated sensitivity levels and has been cleared for
marketing by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Testing Capabilities:
The iCup Drug Screen can simultaneously test for the presence or absence
of up to 10 illicit drugs: Marijuana (THC), Cocaine, Opiates, PCP, Amphetamines,
Methamphetamines, Methadone, Benzodiazepines, Barbiturates and Tricyclics
(anti-depressants). It is available in various three, five, six, eight
nine and ten panel versions.
The iCup Drug Screen has been designed to detect the presence
of drugs at the following SAMHSA (NIDA) suggested cutoff levels for positive
results:
- Amphetamines 1,000 ng/ml
- Benzodiazepines 300 ng/ml
- Barbiturates 300 ng/ml
- Cocaine 300 ng/ml
- Marijuana (THC) 50 ng/ml
- Methamphetamines 1000 ng/ml
- Methadone 300 ng/ml
- Opiates 2000 ng/ml
- PCP 25 ng/ml
- Tricyclic Antidepressants 1000 ng/ml
Ease of Use: The iCup
Drug Screen is the only on-site drug screening device which does not require
the test administrator to use pipettes or add reagents and does not call
for the specimen to be tilted, mixed, or shaken. This one-step test does
not require clinical personnel, technical training, or special equipment.
The iCup Drug Screen utilizes a safe procedure that eliminates any risk
to the test administrator who does not need to place specimen drops on
a test panel or have any other contact with the specimen.
One-Step Process: Simply
insert the screening card through the security sealed slit in the lid
and wait 3 to 5 five minutes for results. One line indicates a positive
result while two lines reflect a negative result.
Proven Laboratory Accuracy:
The proprietary test strip is proven to correlate 100% with results generated
by the SYVA EMIT II standard laboratory drug screen. Built-in tamper detection
measures ensure this non-invasive drug screen produces accurate results.
Positive Confirmation:
As with all on-site and laboratory drug screens, industry standards require
that all positive samples be confirmed by a separate diagnostic test in
a certified laboratory. Positive results from the iCup Drug Screen should
be confirmed by an extensive diagnostic test performed in a certified
laboratory. In the event of a positive result, the iCup Drug Screen collection
cup is sealed with the provided cup cover and sent to a laboratory for
verification. Since most employers experience a less than 2% positive
"hit rate" of their applicants, on-site drug screening with
the iCup Drug Screen offers a significant cost savings.
